Introduction

My name is Tom Corno (a.k.a. Tommy C) on the Home Theater Forum. I have been interested in HT since 1995 and I built my dedicated Home Theater room in 2002. My wife Kelly, Steve (the builder, yes we can!!),Larry (The Country Upholster) and family members were very vital in helping me create this project.  I began construction of this room in September of 2002, and primarily worked on it nights and weekends. I knew I had a perfect room in our basement for front projection, so the room's formation began from there. We moved into this home in July of 2002, and the room was used for other purposes (primarliy storage). Everything you see below was installed by Steve,myself and family (except the carpet installation). The links on the side of the page will take you through different parts of "The Basement Bijou" home theater. By the way, my wife came up with the name for our home theater. It is sort of a play on words, Bi*jou"\, n.; pl. Bijoux .
